If you have a theory and you deal with concepts. If the mathematics are consistent, uniform and logical then there can't be any flaws in your theory.

If the equations of one phenomena contradict another then your theory is WRONG.

The universe is made up of different laws working coherently within the same fucking universe.

The Mathematics are self-evident and speak for themselves.

You need to elucidate the theory of a phenomena, particle or object with formulae. Because the universe is fundamentally mathematical.

Let the Engineers build technology, let the Experimentalists use them and let us Theoretical Physicists make sense of the Experiments, interpret and explain them formulas. And at other times direct what areas of specialities they should channel their focus upon.
