“There’s always a bigger fish” is a defeatist mentality cope. This doesn’t mean you should quit at what you do but rather keep a bar on your head as a benchmark, my personal benchmark is 1%.

You can keep on comparing more and more but once you reach the top 1% everything else fades away and a new era begins.

This would mean top 1% of annual income to call yourself as wealthy. Which is ~$500k/ annum if you are in the US for example. At 60k per annum you are decently average.

Is my car a mogger? Well an avg car price is $49k in the US but in order to get in the top 1% of all cars on road the bar is set at $220k. So you tell me mate.

Am I good looking? PSL 4 is the dead average. PSL 5.5 and life begins to turn around. PSL 6.6 = Top 1%.

Is my physique neat? Look around your class at uni. If it’s a hundred people in a room take a look at what it takes to defeat the top 1 most jacked dude out there.

I believe for every life maxxer being at the top 1% should be the primary goal. It’s a reasonable but a very ambitious goal to be set. Once you’ve reached this stage in life, you are free of all debts and you can relax a bit unless you are hungry for the next chapter…aka the top 0.1% and so on.

mirin thread g, always comparing yourself is loser mentality, I think what you should focus on more is how far you actually got from your starting point. If the difference isn't noticable, you're doing it wrong, vice versa if it's huge you're doing great :feelsautistic:
