I remember reading on reddit about an Indian who complained about this - he became a surgeon, but was still a virgin in his early 30s, until that age he did everything his parents told him too - he went to school, studied, didn't have much of a private life, was ignored by all women, but when he became a surgeon suddenly the women started to treat him much better - smile, talk to him, flirt, etc., but instead of taking advantage of this new opportunity, he was too angry and frustrated that he was ignored for so long...

This is human nature though. Its the same with poor people that grow up rich later in life. They always have that poor person mentality and personality and find it hard to enjoy spending their newfound wealth
