Games are all remakes

Movies are reboots

Songs are old samples

i hate when people blame greed only for the lack of new ideas, like not aknowledging that its hard by itself to make something original. sure they re sell the old stuff because its easier than making original but lets not act like if they invested all their focus into originality they would come up with masterpieces. maybe 1-2 and then we'd run out again.

i believe that it isnt even true that game industry promotes low effort. im sure the companies pressure the game directors to make masterpieces but they all come up with utter shit

every new idea makes it harder to find new ideas

also its funny how people presented marvel's multiverse as some new idea thing meanwhile its just a desperation act mixing it all together which also becomes boring after a while

all "multiverse" shit is just the company's cringe final attempt to milk money

marvel is dead now and nobody gives a fk. next they will bring kratos in marvel and do some other random mixes until ppl get eventually tired of this too

yeah anyway this is not completely realistic because viewers get old and new ones replace them, so they dont mind casting a new iron man and remaking the movies 10 years from now. who gives a fuck about oldcels crying about no originality, kids will watch that and the cycle repeats.

tldr : dont consume games/movies too fast for ur own good, you will have nothing for later. sex/food is still the best entertainment available

Sure but it's not like there aren't topics to explore that give you ideas right away, and look how when there's new stuff they tend to fucking ruin it.
One jarring example for me can be historical-set entertainment, with WWII games being the worst. There are still so many topics to portray and half-forgotten battles that are sick stories being basically ready-made scenarios, yet what mainstream game scenarios are? Repeating few basic locations and just push as much shiny edgy bullshit in there as possible to make it appear """fresh""". Then they will tell you that it's mandatory to add red dot sights and female soldiers with robotic arms to game because realism would be "boring" and "uninteresting to average gamer". While at the same time indie-like milsim games are breaking records of interest, but simply lack funds to break into mainstream.

This is a pure creative sabotage in action. This type of approach stunts growth of medium and serves people with utter retarded shit further reducing the expectations towards new media.

And it is only the most extreme example, it happens in other types of entertainment too (niggerification of everything by netflix, millenial writing in TV series and games, remakes of remakes and Marvel-like goyslop carbon-copies every year etc.

Watch Succession, last episode of the show on Monday

They will start using AI to make movies and songs. Artists will become useless.

yes i agree there is still unexplored space and some ideas left. also depends a lot on the genre

but generally since we dont massively advance in intelligence we will run out eventually, its not far fetched or sth

good thing about this is industry doesnt care about oldcels, new kids havent consumed the entertainnment yet and there is a lot for them

its very realistic for a individual to run out entertainment in 20-30 years of consuming especially counting on the industry greed too

this is why online competitive games/sports are good, replayability. also sex/food
