If anything there should actually be more people on earth. If we assume that 10.000 years ago, humans that derived from the homo sapiens had a global population of like 1m people. (Estimates are even at 1-15million people around 10.000BC) If the growth rate was just 0.1% per year we would have around 22 billion people or more right now.

But historical events such as plagues (Black Death), wars, famines and high mortality rates kept population growth way lower for long periods. The world population grew slow in most of history, with small spikes with agricultural and industrial advancements.

Growth rates became much faster around the Industrial Revolution and modern medicine in the last 200 years, it caused the world's population to grow much faster like 1-2% yearly.

World population is so high rn because of technological advances and better living conditions.

This is one of those theories that relies on you believing it based on not being able to gather that information with your immediate 5 senses

This logic is somewhat ok for certain scenarios when entertaining scepticism, but used for everything it quickly becomes retarded, because there is so many ways of gathering information out side of just your five senses

There are many ways you can find out that the world has 8 billion people, and the high iq part is not just about finding every fact and bit of data but seeing how all those dots connect leading you to a conclusion

Just relying on your 5 senses like these theories try to make you do will send you down a rabbit hole or open a can of worms were you will be aimlessly hunting for data that you can see with your own eyes and touch with your hands, this turns you into an idiot because you don't need all of that data you only need the right information that will allow you to connect the data and come to a conclusion that the world has 8 billion
