Theres a thing called sutures in your skull :
1734989789400

They normally close around the ages 15-20, being 14-15 in the worst case and for females , theres been data on people that had their maxillary sutures open till 71
observed fusion of the midpalatal suture in subjects ranging from 15 to 19 years old. On the other hand, patients at ages 27, 32,9 54,11 and even 7113 years have been reported to have no signs of fusion of this suture

So that means that with couple orthodontic methods like a bow fm(showed in spoiler) , palate expander ,mewing , thumbpulling, braces with elastics (that connect the maxilla and the mandible) might work at those ages.

Therefore you could give a lefort 2 effect to your face, if your mandible is recessed cause your maxilla is recessed (obvious cause the maxilla is connected through the mandible tmj, same as the zygomatic area ,palatine, alveolar and frontal area.
If used right it may fix downgrowth and give you a straighter nose and forwarding all your bones that are manipulated to the maxilla.
Good posture should go hand to hand with this (chin tuckings and all those posture exercises).

If your recessed, broke and your sutures arent closed, ITS NOT FUCKING OVER DONT GIVE UP. If your above those ages and your sutures are closed and your broke, i recommend you to start saving up for surgery or you will stay like that forever regardless of whatever orthodontic appliance you want to try.

not tagging no one because im a greycel that has no friends.

show any case studies of adults having a dramatic transformation with any of the methods you mentioned (mewing, pallate expander etc)

theres not really many studies on mewing, but you can take as an example salludon or all this people on the r/orthotropics.
As for palate expander or facemask ill show your right here (obviously no one did extreme pulling cause all of them were conducted by a orthodontist) https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5349060/ (facemask fixed malocclussion class 3)
(https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8665552/) ( 84% succesful rate of mse in adults no surgery)

His nose and eye area changed dramatically, you also can't get that sort of change with mewing, nobody has. The effects on mewing on adults is minimal as fuck. We can't even conclusively say that it works at all for children, it's still a theory in practice. Please use ur brain dude.

Cope, not after 18
yeah i know, but it COULD work for some people above the age of 18, wouldnt be an insane change, but will for sure do some change if your suture are still open

yeah thats what happens when the maxilla is moved completely, the maxilla has some parts called "nasal bone" and "inferior nasal conchae" that can change your nose if your maxilla turns up or down, his eyes changed cause the maxilla is connected to the frontal bone, where the supra orbital is situated you can see his browridge changed, same as his infraorbital, the zygomatic bone is connected with the maxilla, if the maxilla moves forward the infraorbital will be more projected, that will give a compressed eye look and more hunterish.
Yeah theres not really much studies of mewing , but from the part of John mew and mike mew theres a lot of changes in kids only from mewing and proper tongue posture. Maybe in adults it wouldnt be the same drastic change but will for sure do something if your sutures are still open and its done properly

If dont have underbite facemask is not good. It only moves maxilla forward and will give you overbite

No face mask pulls only maxilla forward because it remodels maxilla to be more forward grown. It doesnt effect tmj and will give you overbite is you dont have underbite

I’m 14 with a recessed jaw and maxilla will this help me?

no, the facemask i showed doesnt use the chin as a point of support, it uses your chest, so it lets your mandible move with your jaw

Can i get this without orthodontic prescription? Does it have any downsides?

yeah, but you will probably need to go to the ortho to get it applied, and yeah if its applied wrong it may cause downgrowth

Niggers be calling everything cope so they can rot more instead of doing something. Facepullers are proven to work btw as long as you wear them enough.
