These flies are driving me absolutely insane

What's going on here today? I've had countless of incredibly annoying flies in my room since opening the window this afternoon for only a few minutes. I managed to kill four of them and chased six or more out of the room but they keep coming back. Every time I think I got all of them, new ones appear two minutes later buzzing around my face and driving me insane. There hasn't been a fly infestation like this in my room ever before and it's cold outside. I'm exhausted from chasing these bastards all day

As I said, it's cold where I live. Maybe some filthy bastard has moved into the house or someone's leftovers are rotting in their room, can't explain it otherwise. I couldn't smell anything out of the ordinary tho

Jesus Christ, more and more flies are showing up. I've never seen so many flies in a single day, not even in the scorching summer heat. I'm killing dozens of these bastards but I stand no chance against the sheer number of family members they seem to have

I think I might have found the source. A decaying moth that was torn apart into multiple pieces and left a foul-smelling sticky secretion mixed with squashed organs and body fluids on the floor. Absolutely disgusting. No idea what happened here. It sure as hell wasn't me. Maybe a sadistic spider dissected it but didn't feel like finishing its meal and left the leftovers to rot. I cleaned it up and disinfected the area with vodka but now after cleaning it up and dumping all the trash, it smells 100 times worse, as though someone has died in here My urge to throw up right now is even stronger than it was when I finished a bottle of Jim Beam white label neat
