I’ll make a new post for my update since the one I tried to make was buried deep in the replies.
Original post: https://looksmax.org/threads/i-got-rhino-did-i-get-it-right.1525180/
Currently 10 weeks post op looking a bit narrower now with the swelling going down still not really near final result. Swelling takes a year for most to subside. got on accutane recently too my lips are dry asf and my skin is peeling everywhere lol. For reference, I also got my deviated septum fixed, my original bridge was bent towards one side very slightly.
The swelling is still awful and the front definition still won’t show for months, all I can say for sure is that surgery is very psychologically taxing, especially with what ifs. “What if I made it slightly more convex” “what if I left a slight hump”, even though the hump might have just or healed as bulky in my thick skin and made me look more recessed. I don’t think my chin is too bad in motion, asked some friends recently they couldn’t even tell I had recession, I think lowering the bridge and very slightly bringing the tip closer to the face was a good move to make it less obvious, the bridge is certainly not too low, since the radix is 2mm above medial canthus, just way lower than the original.
Also, I asked for no upturn I don’t wanna look gay, but they have to over rotate the tip because it drops in the final result. Gained a lot of knowledge regarding this shit post op if anyone is planning their rhino id help for sure. The slightly sloped look, especially from my original post should from all the nasofrontal swelling, my radix was lowered from my glabella to 2mm above medial canthus so all the empty space gets filled with swelling. Still don’t fw the result yet but it’s far far far too early for me to judge.. at least my glasses dont sit on my bridge and make it irritated anymore that shit was so fucking annoying
(Click on the images in case they look stupid)
From the side, bridge should look the weakest it ever will at this stage. Radix (top of the nose) and the tip area are way more swollen than the bridge.
^ this pic is from 3-4 weeks post op, very swollen, especially with how upturned the tip looks.
Rest of the pics are attached, again the psychological drawbacks were quite bad, had me losing my mind lol. But you shouldn’t expect the same I’m just a retard
Also funny ngl, never got complimented on my eyes at school until after, also got told a lot how I looked 10x better without glasses
^ this pic is also from like 3 weeks post op, bridge was even less defined from the front that it is now lol
There’s a video attached with the most recent look (10 weeks post op), rest of the pics are a little older.
I’m ngl if anything could’ve been better, I’d appreciate the input, still waiting for the swelling to subside I need to be patient
