My perception is that people get tattoo's to give off a certain image, not cus they like how they look for its own sake.

well, how they talk depends entirely on where they're from, not their race

Black people from Jamaica, black people from England (the, I guess, UK version of hood ones, I mean.), and black people from America all talk COMPLETELY differently to each other, but they all talk in ways that are pretty distinctly black (I'm referring to people who actually talk like that, not the ones that sound like white people, not all black people talk like that)

the only way it can sound not cringy for any of them to mimic each other is if they're actually good at doing those accents, which is a trait that's not unique to being black, it's just being a good mimic and there's good mimics in every race.


edit: also, as to your discussion about tattoos, very very very VERY few people associate tattoos with gangs or criminal behavior, this is not the '80s anymore. Gang tats are a specific thing in and of themselves, and only a very stupid small amount of people would fake having one of those. People get tattoos because they think they look cool or because they think it'll make them seem interesting/artsy, and MANY people get tattoos to pay respect to certain events or people in their lives. Guys who get butterfly tattoo's are trying to look low inhib and cool but with a plausible deniability by getting a different culture of tattoo. Still they know its a tattoo so has the connotations attached to it still, and thats the true reason they got them.
