Thats because Bowie isnt like rolling stones at all. I think you has probably heard the first rock albums like ziggy stardust and the spiders from mars or the man who sold the world. then there are the different mixes of all genres and different experiments, synthesizers. I still prefer when he was pure pop (lets dance, young americans) or things that are good in themselves like low, outside, black tie white noise.

if you want something like rolling stones, try listen to Velvet Underground or The Kinks
