Stupidly expensive yes but still mirin hard. Previously X3D chips stacked cache on one chiplet only. This one stacks cache on both chiplets simultaneously. No idea how the hardware team pulled it off. Apparently they moved the cache tile underneath the processor cores how they did it without hitting the IHS and schematics of it. Idk but If you want the best CPU on the planet for gaming and productivity this is what you buy

this has dual-stacked dies. 192MB of I3 total. No more core parking or thread scheduling stuff, every core is a "gaming" core.

Yes. EE designs the hardware and CS write the code that runs it. And there are also people from both fields with skills that sit in the cross roads of these things

hated that fuckass class and fuckass teacher
I liked microprocessors and digital logic class tbh. But the schematic diagrams were a pain in the ass to memorize.

I donโ€™t see them competing with the top of the line nvidia gpus anytime soon
They aren't competiting with them at the ultra high end consumer market They are targetting the mid and lower end. the $400-$700 price bracket.
with rdna 4. Competiting with top end Nvidia GPUs like 5090, 5080 isn't feasible. AMD is investing heavily in Data center GPUs (Instinct series) and Al compute platforms

Brought to you by the sweaty Taiwanese children working their fingers numb for 5 cents an hour. I'm not really a hardware guy so I've not got much to say however it sounds impressive by what I'm seeing online. I suppose I should be tracking hardware more intently due to its current relevance.

I think they can definitely simplify the product naming scheme tbh. Amd Ryzen 9 9950x3d2 dual edition. Wtf you mean. Lmao. The current lineup is a train wreck. Even I get confused sometimes on which is which

absolutely. most of us get into hardware anyway. it links very nicely with digital electronics as a whole.

People think EE only work with power grids when the real money is in hardware
