Doubt what? I didn't say it's the average man's voice, just that it's normal. I think he got attention because Asian men usually have more high-pitched voices and are more effeminate in general. So it's the fact that an Asian (though is he mixed?) sounds like that, also while speaking like a "thug", not just the voice in itself. For men of most other races this wouldn't be unusual.

But yeah, I'm not famous or viral or anything, but I have a deep voice that women regularly compliment me on. Sometimes men too. It's definitely a big plus.

Could be. I don't know how this stuff works exactly, but in general I associate at least South Asians and East Asians with having higher voices. The language and cultural factors may play a part. Of course there's also the biological factor of voice depth being correlated with testosterone etc. But yeah, no expert.

souths asians especially. there are some East Asians at my university with deeper voices but I've never heard a south asian with a deep voice and I live in Toronto where they make like half of the population lol.
