That's because SMV =/= PSL aka appeal vs aesthetics, this is a crucial distinction to make.

For example, Eriksen has a higher PSL than Cavill because he looks more aesthetic. However, Cavill has a higher SMV than Eriksen because he has more appeal in the grand scheme of things.

High SMV usually correlates with high appeal but the same can't always be said for high PSL.

As for girls, I guess it's a matter of preference tbh. I personally prefer high PSL girls over high SMV girls.
