Looksmaxxing is anything that improves your appearance. Getting lean is looksmaxxing, so is skincare, and so is surgery. There’s no such thing as fake looksmaxxing.

Softmaxxing is a lot of small changes that add up. The only singular softmaxx with dramatic results is getting lean.

Also, surgery probably won't ascend you either. The average normie has tons of moderate failos, but they don't always have a major failo like mandibular recession that can be surgically fixed. Also, most failos are near unfixable. Things like face shape, eye shape, eye spacing, lip height, nose height, and cheekbone setness are all unfixable.

Sure, you can get a rhinoplasty and fix your nose. But for the average person a rhinoplasty won't ascend them, just make them look slightly better. And you're just fixing a couple flaws out of dozens of others. The only times when surgery is gonna really move the needle is when someone has a singular feature that significantly detracts from their looks (like major recession), an extremely wide and hooked nose, extreme negative canthal tilt, etc.
