When I was in Russia, there was a lightskin indian family in the same tourist bus as me. I heard them speaking hindi and said: are you indian? they said yes. then i said: really? i thought that sounded like hindi but your skin is white so i thought i was wrong.

Their faces brightened up and they told me how india has people of all complexions, even light eyes in the north. After that they treated me very well and their kid followed me around while visiting the places.
