I have lurked on r/teachers and basically, the reason most of them won’t step in is because they can get easily injured. Some teachers have gotten permanent disability from getting involved, and any damage done to teachers isn’t compensated for. Plus the administration doesn’t have their backs either. There are no positive sides to teachers getting involved. Only large, strong, able-bodied men do it anytime it happens.
