Obsidian saves evrything locally in plain Markdown files with an interconnected graph view. Once you start linking your random thoughts together and building a proper second brain a normal notes app feels like using a typewriter. Start using it you'll understand

You can install the Flashcards plugin or Obsidian to Anki and turn your markdown notes into flashcards instantly. This is why I love this app so much. Tons and tons of useful plug-ins
