I played offline in local world completely solo, back in my days there was no guide or crafting book to tell you how to make things, i'd have to just guess things. i would build a house on a mountain in hardcore mode, survive as long as i could and do based shit like going on a journey and come back alive after 30 days with lots of adventures near death experience, lava surviving, treasures and music discs i've found. then i would sit and relax and play the classic piano songs that i collected.
didn't have access to internet, i guessed and discovered pretty much 95% of the items, that was the fun.
random creepers showing up in my house out of nowhere, poof everything is gone because i'm so far away from respawn location.
