TLDR: High Intelligence + Effort = virtually guaranteed success.
Intelligence = your ability to learn the right things, filter for the right information and acquire theoretical knowledge. The ability to improvise your strategy as you fail. The ability to be not waste time making mistakes that could’ve been easily researched.
Effort = your ability to put in the work.

Intelligence with no effort = You have the perfect plans and ideas. You are a smart guy that will likely succeed in everything you do but never execute.
Effort with no intelligence = You grind relentlessly but success becomes luck based because you’re directionless. You believe success is based on merit/hard work and not strategy. If this is you, you have to get lucky with the path you took to become successful, or spend 20 years careermaxxing.

Example: let’s say you want to be a content creator. A vast majority of content creators fail because they are not very intelligent (not stupid, just not above average IQ) but grind out 100-200 videos for years.
These guys never see 10k or more views on any of their videos because they don’t have the intelligence to research title/thumbnail packaging, engaging script writing, capitalizing on the first 30 seconds etc.
They also don’t have the self awareness to know their video objectively sucks, or their niche has a tiny market.
Intelligent guys on the other hand never start. They understand a ton of how things work but never actually put it into practice. This is because intelligent guys are perfectionists and wait for chances of success to be 100% by acquiring more theory, but this will never happen without effort.
Another example: cold approaching girls.
With high effort and no intelligence, you approach 100 girls and repeatedly make stupid mistakes, have bad breath, ungroomed hair, no muscle etc.
With intelligence but no effort, you looksmaxx, learn game, learn power dynamics and behavior but you never cold approach.

Bottom line: if you want to be successful, you literally have to either put in the work and get lucky (Or partner up with someone who has the knowledge), or be high iq and overcome the analysis paralysis.
If you don’t have high iq and have no work ethic, you have no chance. This is the real black pill when it comes to success.
