nah bro it sounds fire and not even unrealistic save money and then geomaxx somewhere and do it. in some places its not only realistic but common and for cheap too.

• Bulgaria – Rhodope Mountains – low land prices, mountain water sources, forests with wild fruit and herbs
• Serbia – Tara / Zlatibor region – affordable farmland, clean rivers and springs, berries/mushrooms, livestock culture
• Georgia – Racha / Svaneti – remote mountain valleys, drinkable spring water, wild grapes/figs, minimal land restrictions
• Turkey – Black Sea (Artvin/Rize) – lush green mountains, constant rainfall and springs, wild fruit, mild climate

that €40k is prime ,flat investor farmland you see on google. that’s not what people mean by cheap land. the stuff locals buy is hillside, pasture, forest-edge, village plots, often sold with an old house. those go for €10–25k total all the time.
