Laporta always had the philosophy to not buy young players who were not world class (first choice starters) and that the young players should always come from La Masia (now his philosophy has changed because he bought Torre), but in current football players like Messi would have not been developed in La Masia and instead in an Argentinian club like River

The new philosophy of Barcelona should be to only sign non-first choice starters young players that are under 19 (to become home grown) who are Spanish, Latin American but not Brazilians because Brazilians don't speak Spanish, from Andorra and from Equatorial Guinea, these under 19 non-first choice starters player should only be bought when you don't have any good La Masia player coming through the youth ranks, you should only sign world class players that will be first choice starters if they don't meet the above rules

Barcelona should be full of Catalan and native Spanish speaking players from Spain, Latin American and Equatorial Guinea, Barcelona could still buy player who doesn't have these nationalities, but he needs to be world class

In La Masia, learning or knowing Catalan should give you special benefits to progress in the academy
