Without a beard he may drop down to average but certainly not below average.

When he was younger he looked really good with a clean shaven face and hair. Now that he’s older he’s traded the hair on the top of his head for the hair on his jaw.

Either way, it’s not like he’s beardfrauding, you can see his weak jaw even with his beard. I don’t think it’s correct to completely discount facial hair from facial attractiveness. Even men with great jaws can look terrible with shaven faces as they appear young and lose a lot of masculine appeal. Some dudes even look worse with facial hair and some look great with or without it.

Women say beards are like makeup for men, but it’s not a good analogy because beards are natural unlike makeup and the most attractive beard type is stubble so it doesn’t hide your jaw.

When I shave my beard I’m still considered attractive (two of my most commented on dating app photos are me clean shaven while irl women often complimented my beard) but I’ve been told I look younger. I don’t have a big beard, I have designer stubble like Tate so it’s not like it’s hiding my jawline. The appeal comes specifically from the appearance of facial hair. People grow beards for a reason, it’s kind of like saying, if you shave your head you are less attractive. I’m sure plenty of guys could go bald and still be attractive and plenty of guys would go bald and lose a lot of appeal but why would they do such a thing in the first place?
