Was searching for music, and came across this music video:
It's just random shots of a friend group on a vacation.
But god damn if it isn't some potent suicide fuel. It essentially is everything that I've always wanted, but was never able to get.
A whole group of people that value you, and want to spend time with you.
Carefree time doing fun things with your friends in a foreign country.
Experiences that you will remember for the rest of your life.
Imagine looking at a tape like this when you're 50 and reminiscing. About people that are long gone, girls, summer evenings just shooting the shit with the boys next to the sea, thrills of exploring a new country...
I'd like to keep going, but I can't - I literally cannot imagine what it's like. I don't know what kids of experiences you have on a trip like that. I just don't.
The short clips in the video are just an infinitely small glimpse into that kind of a life. A life that's actually worth living.
Unlike the empty existence we lead. Staring at a screen since childhood, throughout teens, and into out adult life. It's like living life on fast forward. You don't remember anything - why would you? Every day is just like the one before. To you, life is like a badly made, videogame with too little content - there really isn't anything out there. Just trying to get through another day, trying to keep coping, and trying to not let the cognitive dissonance of knowing what other people have to explode your head.
It must be insane to naturally have friends & live a life like that. To be liked and accepted for who you really are. Without having to gym for years, autistically trying to practice social interactions, without having to get surgery...
Just going through the motions of life and having it. It must be so beautiful to have this spontaneously happen to you.
To be worthy of these experiences. Isn't that what makes you human? The life you lead?
And then there's us. Locked out from the real world, like behind a thick glass. We can only watch the lives actual humans lead, through small windows like this video.
