So I started this job cos it was my only option. Basically forced into it by my old manager

It's "security", but we are basically post room workers. We scan parcels in, put them on the right shelves, and then try and find them when people come to collect them

But the post room is tiny, the shelves get full, we haven't had proper training to know where to put shit, there's a ridiculous amount of parcels for the number of us and the size of the room, and workers keep raging. We've had two people come in to help cos it was a mess, and one of them stormed off after a while saying she was done with it and it was bullshit

It's just constant work. U have a huge pile of parcels which haven't been scanned in yet, more getting delivered, and then a line of people coming to collect multiple parcels which you have to rummage around for

It's only my second day (after 2 "training" shifts), and I'm now full time. But I wanna quit. I just have nothing else lined up. Need to start looking asap. I'm waiting for a video interview for the police

Because I'm not guaranteed to get anything soon, and I don't wanna end up taking another shit job cos I'm under pressure to get one

I was planning on doing this and looking for a new job while I'm here. Which is why I've already applied for the police. I wanna look for other stuff too but idk what yet

I've just noticed I have like 200 hours of holiday pay even tho I've just started. Might be a glitch, cos you're meant to earn it as you accrue hours worked. Anyway, I've applied for 3 days off next month (need a month notice), and if I get that I'll just try and use it all up. Get paid to not work. And apparently if you don't use it and quit, they still need to pay u it. Must be a glitch tho, cos otherwise I could just quit right now, and get paid 200 hours of holiday pay

Try getting your HGV license and go do that. It's literally the perfect job for incels. It's always 1) HGV; 2) C++ programmer; 3) work at building site; 4) sanitation worker. Best incel jobs, cuz that's a salary to help you cope and limited interaction with women.
