It's "security", but I'm basically a mail room worker. I finish my first training shift today in 15 mins
It's so repetitive. Just scanning parcels and shit. Also some heavyish lifting. Making my dodgy wrists act up
My other (current) job is on the visitor side, and zero hours. This one would be full time
Surprisingly I actually think the repetitiveness of searching visitors might be better than scanning and looking for parcels. At least it's kinda interesting looking at the people sometimes. And we change positions every hour or 30 mins. And there's more of us. I keep to myself mostly but sometimes have laughs. In this mail room one, it's just a handful of people. Doing the same shit. Scanning parcels, and then scanning them out when people come to collect them
I have a second training shift tomorrow. I think they basically assume I'm gonna start full time, but I don't wanna tbh. I would rather they just give me more shifts or a contract where I currently am, but they're not
Realistically, both jobs are kinda ass. But then again, most jobs are. But yeah, I think this might be worse. The positive is that it's more laidback. U can sit and be on your phone
