I love you but I’m not for you.

It sucks that we come from vastly different worlds. I’ll never measure up to the person you deserve and should be with.

You deserve someone that’s wholesome, happy, and well-adjusted like you. Someone who’s similar to you socially, academically, and socioeconomically. You deserve your equal, of which I am not. Far from it.

All those things you want and need - those life milestones? I don’t think I’ll ever be able to give those to you. Back when I was young, happy, and dumb, those were things I wanted too; but now I’m a mess of a person deep in a depressive fog of hazy clarity.

You deserve to have everything you want in life. Most importantly from someone who wants them too.

I want you to be happy.

And in order to do that, we need to set each other free.
