Here is my opinion, which may not make sense


He has a point that men have a monopoly on violence through which they can enforce their political will.
However, physical strength is not the only way to impose customs on a society.


social and emotional manipulation can achieve the same effect since we are communal creatures.
If a person violates a norm, they can easily be punished by ostracism, shaming, and rumor spreading without having to lay a finger on the perpetrator.


Women have used tactics like gossip to uphold community standards since we were living in villages.
