Exactly, "white" skinned east asians could never pass as "white". "White" really just means light skinned european pheno.

But to be fair, Europeans don't have a complete monopoly on White skin. Many northeast asians have lighter skin than Europeans. Same can be true for some MENA and central asians.

Same applies for “white passing” you can be of any caucasoid and be white passing.

Trust me as an ethnic I'd much rather be a light skinned looking ethnic guy than a white guy or white looking guy. I look much better with light brown skin and good undertones than I would with white skin. I don't get the obsession with white skin among so many ethnics because it'd look shit on them. As for being white passing.. it feels like a betrayal of who you are. No matter how white you look as an ethnic you will never be white, and it just seems cucked.
Also the ironic part is that most ethnics I've met who are white passing all self claim ethnic and are proud of it jfl. Very connected to their culture too. Among the men, at least.
