How good is calisthenics for someone whos 15 and doesnt have access to the gym and what equipment should i buy to help me with it

It's really good if you do it the right way. Get a pair of adjustable dumbells (the type of dumbells that you can take the plates off from it) i'd recommend a weight of 30 to 40 pounds if you really want them to be useful at least a year or year ½. You can get them from facebook marketplace. Also get a pull up bar.
Do pull ups, chin ups, dips (you dont need parallels, just two chairs), push ups. And once these get easy put the dumbell plates in a backpack so you can do em weighted.
And for biceps, triceps and shoulders use the dumbells (i didn't mention any dumbells excercise for back and chest since the weight of a dumbell can stop being enough faster for big muscular groups) do bicep curls, french press for tricep, lateral raise for shoulders, etc. And for legs do squats, one leg squats, etc.
