thoughts about upper every other day split?

12 reps is retarded for countless reasons. You need to do 8 reps max with 0-1 RIR (1 RIR in most sets).

How many sets are you doing

Then build them now
fine i might train legs when i get in the gym but bro you just said that people have a different MAV and now you say everyone has to do 8 reps

idk your stats nothing about you i already gave you most of the bare minimum of what you should do to maximize hypertrophy. Just choose exercises that are doing the targeted muscle joint action, learn about leverages, the length tension relationship, ROM etc

Or just look in TikTok the best upper split and then do it without the lower
