Thoughts on braces?

Hi im 18 and i have a slight overbite+ my lower teeths are misaligned
Im wondering if i should wear braces because i've heard many negative comments about how it can fuck up face, on top of that i have a horse face with a recessed chin because of mouthbreathing so i dont want to exacerbate those aspects

fixing overbit with braces leads to a slightly more recessed maxilla.
Orthognatic surgery is much better, and allows you to completely reshape your face

See if they can perform some surgery to bring lower jaw forward
