If some person chooses to be harsh to you after you've shown kindness to them, your not weak and powerless, the other person attempting to scare you off has a problem/problems on their plate, they couldn't even handle receiving kindness from you, so they lash out at you out of insecurity. Their interior makes fun of themselves.
In my opinion I believe that treating someone kindly has a more return on investment than treating someone rudely.
When your friendly to a person they'll probably be friendly/neutral back to you. When your cruel to someone you'll most likely be treated negatively in return. This is how I feel based on experience, I'm obviously not a perfect person, I can be kind I can be mean, overall I don't think I am a good or bad person, I think I stand in a middle ground. But in recent times I have become more empathetic and sympathetic not perfect but improving.
I love the fact that when I treat someone kindly, it's not just me treating the person generously, I am treating someone's son, brother, cousin and friend in a kind manner.
By being kind to this person I am treating the guy nicely, being caring to the people who cares about them, since this is what the people who cares about this person would like this human to be treated like.
