I’m 17 in a few months. I’ve grown like an inch in the past year so my growth plates are nearing closure and I’m 5’8. I’m in the gym and need to put on more weight.
The main reasons I was thinking of running:

Height gain (well growth plates open)
Gym progress
Weight gain
Improved sleep/recovery

I am only planning to run it during this winter for a few months to hopefully get up to 165-170 (currently 145-150) which is a little above my desired maintenance weight for my current height

Also: planning to take berberine preemptively to counteract the insulin resistance

Any other side effects I should take precautions against? Looking for anecdotal stories of people who have ran it or studies

i am 17 too, mk is the shit. Ive been taking it for 2 weeks now and ive grown 2 cm ( idk how its insane ). I was 176cm 2 weeks ago now im 178cm so it works like a bomb. Also ive gained 3 kg. My advice is that you should do low end so your insulin resistence dont spike becuase that means you have to buy a glucose test thing and berberine and other stuff that will cost alot. Just do powerlifting and eat clean and alot of caffine before your workouts so your hgh spikes even more. So mk677 is a miracle drug.

MK is overhated. I actually like it. Been running it for a few months. At 17 you probably won't get any height gain to be honest, but gym progress, weight gain, and improved sleep are all results I've experienced while on it.

Taking 10 mg noticeable increases appetite, making it easy to eat in a surplus
20-25 mg significantly increases appetite, making it difficult not to. On 20 mg I would sometimes eat 4K calories (way more than my 500 calorie surplus I planned)

Take it fasted (at least 2 hours).

Haven't gotten any bloodwork myself, but insulin resistance is probably not that big of a threat if you're only running it for a few months (assuming you don't eat tons of junk food or high glycemic index stuff). I haven't experienced any symptoms of it and I eat a fairly high amount of sugar a day (150g) mostly from fruit. Insulin resistance is also negligible if it does develop.

I recommend pills if you can afford it, most convenient, liquid form tastes like shit because it's mixed with ethanol, but it's sometimes cheaper.

You can either take it 30-60 minutes before bed or right when you wake up. I've done both, and when I did it before bed, I got a lot of deep sleep, it was a large and very noticeable difference. However, the appetite effect was too strong on me so I would end up waking up from hunger to eat, so I switched to morning dose. Night dose is best for deep sleep + GH/IGF-1 (if you don't wake up), morning dose is better for appetite support.
