Looks to be made by the same people who made the Facebow.
Its not a bad idea, the problem is compliance. No kid is going to wear this to school.
It would even be a challenge to make them wear it at home.

Personaly I think hard mewing would give superior results in every regard.The mandible can be kept forward with muscle power and keeping the teeth together. The force needed to move the maxilla in a growing child over a year or 2 isn't that large.
I'm not saying its ideal, none of these solutions are, but as far as ease of use goes, it is the best one I've seen.
Just put light elastics on and the child has to consciously jut the mandible forward.
