there wouldn't be an incentive for war if Europe, according to their own interests, developed a mutually beneficial trade relationship with russia. Putin can do what he does because he doesn't fear the consequences as his country has been getting sanctioned for the stupidest shit for the past 4 decades. all because the americans told the europeans to do so
