seems like many wrongly assume stoicism means to unhealthly suppress and avoid emotions as a mean of "powering through", but i think thats a totally wrong view of the philosophy.

i dont think of them as that much different from each other, i do think of stoicism as timeless tho.
in this modern era we shouldnt be cynic to the point of thinking to having to rely on psychotropic drugs or mental therapy alone for example, even though they remain useful. stoicism can give a wide and clear perspective of life if practiced correctly, a way for enlightment even
