I honestly think short hair is not attractive in whites, neither in men nor in women. Women are known to thirst over long hair. Most men don't take care of their hair so it looks shit (I know cause mine is medium length all my life and it sometimes looks great and sometimes awful when I don't maintain it properly).

Many guys who are good looking with short hair can look just as good with long hair, but there are ton of hot guys with long hair who suddenly lose their appeal with short hair. I'm not saying shoulder-length is ideal but curtains, french crops, etc, are all far better than buzz cuts.
