Thoughts on tattoos?

Personally only small ones on the back and thighs look good.

Sleeves look weird especially if you are tanned or darker looks like you have some weird skin condition if you get them if your skin tone is even slightly dark. Also so mainstream

Overplayed niche, only works if you're lighter skinned due to contrast, and if you're masc/punk/alternative, and pay good money on non-cringe designs

Agreed. Overplayed, and many of the tattoos I see are absolute fucking trash. You need to pay a shit ton for good designs and then, even then, need a good artist that doesn't fuck it up.

Also, thigh is a good spot. I wanted to do one of those gory decapitated heads (forget what they are called) that are Japanese. They go pretty fucking hard. But even that I am still very hesitant and the amount of effort to find a solid artist and put funds aside for are just not worth.
