Visible tattoos will decrease the level of respect you get in formal professions

They also just generally make you look like less of a serious person but it all depends on the life you want to lead and who you want to command respect from

A good example imo is Pete Hagseth. Covered in tattoos which is not typical for people in his position but given the context and the goals of this administration (appealing to men and gearing up for conflict) the tattoos actually work in his favor by making him relatable to the people he is in charge of and the types of personality that will be required for their goals (aggressive non conformity)

Similar to how beards are not common for presidential positions but JD Vance can rock one because American conservatives are seeking a masculine leader

My mom worked high up at a corporate job and we went to the beach with one of her colleagues once and he had this big badass dragon tattoo on his back

She said she didn't know he had that tattoo and it obviously boosted his SMV in her eyes. The fact that she wasn't aware he had it (it contrasted heavily with his corporate appearance) clearly enhanced the appeal

He was also tall dark and handsome HTN Chadlite in his mid 30's making upwards of 300k so he was also just generally a mogger but the tattoo worked for him because of how he did it

Didn't interfere with his professional life and boosted his SMV with anyone who got more socially intimate with him

I always thought that was a good way to go about it if you're gonna do it
