i ran it inconsistently for a while but i wanna stick to it as part of my gym routine, should I?

I already follow a push pull workout load (Fuck leg day)

skipping legs while trying to run 5x5 is pure comedy :lul:

5x5 (like StrongLifts) is literally built around heavy compound squats every single session. It's meant for novice strength foundations, not hypertrophymaxxing for aesthetics.
If you already do Push/Pull and hate leg day, 5x5 makes zero sense.
Stick to a proper PPL or upper/lower with proper volume (8-12 rep range) and side delt/arm isolation if you actually care about physique instead of powerlifting nigger

It’s good for beginners but it’s geared towards powerlifting. If your goal is bodybuilding then there’s better options. I tried most splits and my personal fave that I saw the most progress on was u/l

8-12 rep range isn’t “proper volume” nigga any rep range close to failure is good

You're confusing intensity with volume my nigger
Rep range isn't volume, sets x reps is.
Taking 5 reps to failure works for hyper-trophy but 8-12 lets you accumulate more total volume per set without frying your CNS as fast
Good luck getting decent shoulder/side delt hypertrophy running 5x5 bench and OHP only jfl:lul:

Cns fatigue is only a issue if you aren’t programming correctly

Aight but running heavy 5x5 compound loads on PPL is bad programming for hypertrophy :lul:
The main point is still 5x5 squats/bench are meant for strength progression and not capped side delts or aesthetic volume nigger
If your goal is looks then high fatigue heavy compounds shouldn't take up 80% of your workout :feelswah:

Yes I already said that 5x5 isn’t good for bodybuilding. I recommended u/l, but 8-12 rep range isn’t a rule. 90% of my excerises for the last 2 years have been in the 1-6 range apart from some isolations where going heavy is very hard due to stability, and I’ve never had to do a deload due to cns fatigue. Just prioritize recovery and figure out what volume works for your body

Fair enough if 1-6 works for your recovery run it I don’t even care
Everyone's stimulus-to-fatigue tolerance is different anyway i just gave you my opinion. do with that as you will.
