The only meds I've ever successfully been able to convince my doc to put me on were either SSRIs or Bupropion, and I want to avoid most SSRIs like the plague due to their giga failo sides tbh.
Also, as far as I can tell he's probably not willing to budge on that opinion anytime soon.
However, I've been open to Bupropion since most people don't report a lot of the same problems, and a lot actually consider it to be pretty decent at its job as well as a potential Nootropic in and of itself.
Nevertheless, I also happen to use Nicotine on occasion for its beneficial cognitive effects, but I also know that Bupropion also probably lessens its overall efficacy and is used as a smoking cessation aid.
I don't plan on quitting my use of Nicotine anytime soon, since I don't see any real negative to using it with Bupropion aside from simply having weaker effects, but if I did have to pick one to get rid of it'd probably be Nicotine.
