Throwback to high school. Probably my first missed opportunity.

The year is 2007-08. I'm 16. A girl named Rachel a grade behind me acts flirtatious with me, finds me funny, etc.

Yet I never asked her out.

As for why I never asked her out? Because every foid I had asked out at that point turned me down. A 100% rejection rate makes a guy come to expect rejection.

So, in a nutshell, I refrained from asking Rachel out because I was afraid she'd reject me.

The real kicker is: Had I asked her out, Rachel probably would have been the first foid to accept my askout.

Had I asked Rachel out (and got a "yeah"), do I think we'd still be a couple today?

Absolutely not.

But had we dated, I likely would have developed a confidence that'd carry me through life (in terms of getting new foids).

Instead, I'm an incel inching closer and closer to his 34th birthday.

It's amazing how something as seemingly simple as whether to ask a foid from school out at age 16 can play such a drastic role in how you end up nearly 20 years later. At the time, I never thought the decision of whether to ask her out would still impact me at 33.

How did you have such early mental development as an autist??

I didn't give a fk about women until age 19

I had my first crush in 1st grade.

I suppose not every autist is a late bloomer (in terms of developing an interest in foids)

As my counselor says: "If you meet one person with autism, you've met one person with autism"
