Only 2-3% percent of guys squat at gym and they have a proportional body overall, even 3 sets per week is enough if you do it properly and you dont need to squat extreme weights, 100-130kg is enough to balance out natural gymmaxxed upper body.

When incels say about squating as shitty lift, they refer to the strongmans and powerlifters who dont care about aesthetics and just do lot of squats and deadlift, so they have 200>kg squats, which is completly unneccecery for natural gymmaxxer.

Also muscular legs and glutes are manly, women like it but they dont like it when it is too big, as i said earlier 100-130kg for 12reps is enough for balancing upper body with legs.

Squat is my favorite exercise, because it gives you High t and makes you stress resistant, when you adapt at highly stressing squats, every other exercise becomes piece of cake, your nevous system adapts, your blood flow improves, your T rises, and overall body, incuding back, core and legs are getting stronger, Then those stronger muscles are helping you in other exercises with progressive overload, which is main driver of muscle growth.

This people who say squat is incel exercise are just people who squatted few times incorrectly of course, with shitty form, didnot get results and now it is incel lift :d, as a result they get scared of squats, i was scared of it too when i was starter and that is understandable, but dont say it is incel exercise.

Squatting is a good exercise, but let's not pretend it doesn't suck. Well, maybe deadlift is a bit worse, but the second worst movement in the gym. After squatting, you always just feel like absolute shit and just wanna go lay down in a bed.
And only 2-3% of guys squat? More like 70-80%

I see. I don't think they're essential in getting a good physique but I'm sure they do offer a lot of benefits tbh.

Yeah it sucks, but it is good ego boost for me when i complete torture from squat and if you are hardcore gymmaxxer, squat is like going in an astral projection, the endorphins after squating is the best part from it.

It is not essential yes. It can accelerate building good phisique because it strenghtens small core muscles around the body and back muscles then those muscles help you in other exercises via progressive overload, this is the reason why lot of trainers ar saying if you want big biceps should squat. Squat=strong back, strong core=strong rows, pulls=strong biceps.

Raises T only for a short moment, enough to get recovery going on in your legs. It's total bullshit how some guys say that squatting would be somehow helpful with your upper body due to raised T levels. If you want upper body gains, you work your upper body. People squat 2 times a week and work their upper body once, and then complain how they look like a t-rex. Imo legs are good to do ONCE a week, as they grow fast af anyway, and upper body a good 3 times at least.

Man, I really need to start training my legs again in 2021. I think I've only trained upper body in 2020 thus far jfl, which has given me good results in that department, to be fair.

Squats once a week 3x5, as high as you can go without injuring yourself.

I use leg day as a "rest day" for my upper body.

No 5 reps are not optimal for muscle gains, they should do it in 6-20 range.

5 reps is fine for squats, and heavy weight.
Bad for starters and natural lifters who need to build muscle with squat, it is hard to execute properly at lower lep ranges, yet they struggle at high rep ranges in terms of execution. It is not neccecery to train strengh for in squats for people who just want muscle.

if you dont have fun maxing out your squat and deadlift its over for you low t

once you get to a respectable weight and stop getting DOMS youll start to enjoy the big lower body movement because being able to throw around 300-400lbs is lifefuel and makes you feel like goku

also women are attracted to glutes (and big legs to a lesser extent) as long as you dont turn into a shit tier disproportional fatass aka powerlifter

I didn't know I was browsing strengthmax.me or some bodybuilding forum.

Training legs is a waste of time for looks.
