Thumbpulling is absolute to cope we all know that, but I'm curious to know why do people keep mentioning when it comes to forward growth of the maxilla, what's the logic behind it?

Thumbpulling is meant to mimic the action of a palate expander or MSE, which work by widening the palate, so what's exactly the relation between that and forward growth? The expansion is supposed to be transversal, not sagittal. Of course, by expanding the maxilla there's always going to be even the tiniest amount of growth forward, but that growth is almost non-significant and definitely won't be enough to fix a recessed maxilla.

So I ask, what's even the idea there? I actually want to figure out how did people come up with the conclusion that thumbpulling will improve forward growth.

Sicilian Cyclops
they think that if you pull forward at the anterior part of the palate, above the incisors, it would bring forward your maxilla like a lefort 1 advancement. giga retarded because even if you could it would just give you monkey-like maxillary prognathism

It's just a bunch of cope invented by people (men) who are too afraid to get surgery. I don't get it, women are extremely based and know you need to hardmaxx to ascend. In the US, 25% of women have had atleast one form of cosmetic surgery. When you look at women earning $150k+, 40% of those have had surgery.

But men? Men only make up 8% of the cosmetic procedures in the US.

You have to consider a confrontation, if you get in a fight and have had cosmetic surgery your face will fall apart. Women don’t necessarily have that risk.
