I’ve never been asked for my TikTok as a form of exchanging socials. It’s mostly Instagram. I’ve only been asked for my TikTok account by people I’m already decently close to and message quite a lot because they’d want to send videos and such. Asking for their Instagram and being active on your story would likely be seen as pretty normal.
