I've seen this in females and it's always an intense coping mechanism since they knew they would have no chance with someone like Chico. They rather say they'll pick the attainable one so they can pretend they haven't been rejected. JFL at that ugly manfaced wrinkled granny saying she has dated guys like Chico.

How can you be so sure? I asked some pretty girls what they thought of Chico, and their response was ‘not that good looking’, etc. Even he said in his interview that he didn’t get much attention when he was younger.
