Up and down head movements, don’t do them, leo longevity covers why in one of his recent videos, the goal is to get a wider neck, growing the front and back of the neck will make it look like you don’t have a neck, working just the sides will give you a wider neck while retaining your jawline and neck aesthetic

Lay sideways on a bench and lift your head up and down, ear to the ground, that’s one exercise to work the side and not the front

Gonna try this when I go to the gym, maybe monday. I'll tell u if it's comfortable or not.

A trained frontal neck will look like this. The separations are ideal.

I covered aesthetic but there is a whole other part of it, when you enlarge the front of the neck it Disrupts the airway, many people with enlarged necks have sleep apnea for this reason. Frontal neck is not needed to have a 1. Strong looking neck 2. An aesthetic neck. It’s all about the width, the more your neck protrudes forward the more it looks like you have no neck

How fast does the neck respond in comparison to other muscles?

I think he was only referring to the back of the neck training, but yes, I only train sides. What do you do?

Forward head posture is caused by weak muscles in the front and tight muscles in the back of the neck

Relatively fast since most people don’t use their neck muscles at all. It also responds more to volume rather than heavy loads

how do you train side neck op? Holding plates on side of head doesn't really work too well for me

why not just do all of them ? it's easy to workout neck even if you do up-down too.
