Lets say a person is 200 pounds, he wants to get to 160
40 pounds weight loss
1 pound is 3500 calories
40 x 3500
140,000 calories need to be burned
lets assume a 500 calorie deficit
140,000/500
280 fucking days to get to his goal
now
assume you have a high protein diet that meets your macros
you can easily get that by eating 1.5x pound breast chicken with some carbs (like rice) Then exercise a bit
this will give you a 1000 calorie INTAKE
so if your exercising lets say conservative you are burning 2500 calories a day
2500 calories - 1000 calorie INTAKE
1500 calorie deficit and you still reach your protein goal
now for that guy who wants to lose 40 pounds
140,000/1500
93 days
280 days vs 93 days
choose 93 days obv cuz u still hit proteins macros to preserve muscle mass
