Are they any good or better than silicone, medpor, or PEEK? They are more expensive at least.

I have a wrap around jaw PEEK implant (since February 2022) and no problems so far

Here's why "Titanium implants" don't make sense

Titanium is a very strong metal, it's not magnetic, and doesn't have conflict (very rare to cause infections inside your body, my PEEK implant is fixed with a lot of titanium screws)

But titanium is so strong that if you got punched in the face, it wouldnt break the implant but it would break all the bone around the implant

No reason it would be superior to silicon or PEEK. All the same risks are there. Infection can still occur. Masseter detachment. All that shit that goes wrong with jaw implants can go wrong with titanium. Literally zero rsn to seek it.

I had a consultation with a surgeon who offers titanium jaw implants. He said titanium is his favorite, but he didn't explain why (I didn't ask). He also said that silicone has an infection rate of 10%. I don't remember what he said about medpor.
