TMJ made my ramus longer, zygos pop and mandible come forward. Not anything crazy, but the difference is definitely visible.

why has it only happened on the side I have tmj?

It’s not developed more on one side , you just have a subluxation that means your condyle doesn’t sit right in the disc and that you don’t have a correct bite , and it could be muscle assymetry aswell , i have the same issue ; every human is asymetrical to a little point . Go see an ortho lol tmj disorder is really bad and it’s really hard to fix
